SUPERWOW STAFF

Each summer the Youth Ministries Office employs college students and young adults to serve on the staff at each location Superwow Camp.  If you are interested in applying, please read the information below and download the application to get started.

Application Process

Please note: the following process is for people wishing to apply for Superwow Staff only, directly through the Superwow Office.  If you would like to apply for Superwow through BCM Summer Missions/Send Me Now, please contact your local BCM and visit the SuperwowBCM page here.

Step 1: Complete and submit the application, which is available for download here.  A completed application will include the following items being received by the Youth Ministries office:

1. GBC Application
2. Superwow Addendum
3. 3 Reference Letters
4. Child Protection Policy & Release
5. Drug & Alcohol Policy

Step 2: Upon Invitation, attend the Staff Interview Day on February, 20, 2010 at Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church in McDonough.  Upon receipt of you completed application, the Youth Ministries office will send you a schedule and directions for this event.

Step 3: Hear back FAST! The Superwow Office is committed to notifying our staff of our decisions no later than the Monday following interviews (Feb 22).  If you are selected, you will have the opportunity to participate in a Commissioning Ceremony later in the Spring.

Superwow Staff Qualifications

Persons age 19 or older who have had at least one year of college.

Mature Christians who are:

1. Active members of Southern Baptist churches
2. Excited about working with youth and can maintain a high energy level for 3 weeks
3. In good physical and emotional health
4. Adaptable and have common sense
5. Servant spirit with a willingness and ability to work
6. Able to submit to authority

Tentative Terms of Service

The dates listed below are non-negotiable.  If there is any reason you are not available on any of the following dates, please remove yourself from consideration for Superwow Staff. This is a limited employment time period, and absence from any of the following dates disqualifies you from consideration.

1. June 3-4: Staff Training (Mandatory); food and lodging are provided; however, staff members are not paid for Staff Training.
2. June 12: Depart for camp from Duluth, GA
3. Jekyll Island Staff: June 14-July 3
4. Ft Walton Staff: June 14-26
