IMPACT is the FINEST week of the SUMMER! Every year 1000 students and their leaders come together for intense evangelism, discipleship training and the building of relationships that last a lifetime. Impact is not just about what our students can become, but what the world can become through them. Through Family Groups, Grade Level Schools, Quiettime, Recreation, IMPACT WORSHIP, and Service Opportunities, IMPACT is a one of a kind encounter for students who need an extra challenge.
David Platt, pastor of The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, Alabama, and extraordinary worship leader Aaron Keyes and a team of more than 100 adult leaders will equip the students of IMPACT to SEIZE the DAY to share Christ in their communities by living the life and sharing His story. Don't miss out!
Impact Worship
At the conclusion of each day all the schools come together for an amazing time of Worship. The IMPACT 2009 Speaker is David Platt and the Worship Leader is Aaron Keyes. The theme of IMPACT 2009 is "Carpe Diem: Seize the Day".
Impact Schools
Students are put into schools by grade level. They will be taught by some of the states most outstanding youth leaders. Each school has an Executive Staff of 5 adults who work year round to provide an awesome school experience that features practical biblical instruction, the basics of personal worship, prayer, scripture memorization, evangelism, and obedience, as well as in-depth challenges of deeper Bible study.
Impact Family Groups
In each school of around 100 students, there will be 8-10 Family Groups led by 2 adult Team Leaders who help the students personally apply all they experience at IMPACT.
Impact Recreation
Every day, students compete by school in some of the most creative recreational competitions known to man. An IMPACT SPIRIT FLAG is awarded each day to 2 schools(one middle and one high) who exhibit excellent performance and a Christ-like spirit during recreation.
Students
800 + students experience a maximum camp- experience in Impact Worship Times, Schools, Family Groups and Wild & Crazy Recreation.
Adults
100 + adult Team Leaders will attend impact to minister to every student that attends Impact. Each student at Impact experiences daily face to face encounters with a caring TL. The TL's role at IMPACT is so important that we bring them in on Sunday, May 31st at 10:00 AM to prepare for an amazing week of youth ministry. Every adult you church sends to Impact will serve as a Team Leader.
Team Leaders
TL's must have graduated from High School on or before June of 2008. We request that you send us the most outstanding adults to serve as TLs. Team Leaders serve as Family Group Leaders in schools, Recreation coaches, and Hall Chaperones throughout the day. Outstanding TLs are vital to the IMPACT MINISTRY STRATEGY. TL's must attend Team Leader Training, which begins Sunday, May 31st at 10:00 AM and concludes as students arrive on Monday.
